Sustainable Manufacturing Code Description

The present document is structured in two chapters clearly separated and aimed at:

• INDITEX direct suppliers and their sub-suppliers.

• Wet processing mills included into the supply chain of INDITEX direct suppliers and their sub-suppliers.

Additionally, every chapter is divided into different sections which introduce two different levels of performance and compliance:

• Good manufacturing practices (GMPs): Basic requisites of mandatory compliance that should be implemented in order to reach the objective of this code and to become a sustainable facility.

• Best manufacturing practices (BPs): Recommendations to be implemented for which compliance is not mandatory but highly recommended to continuously improve in the implementation of sustainable practices.

Note: Best practices are focused in those facilities with a commitment and engagement beyond merely complying with the good manufacturing practices included in this code.

Important: In case an INDITEX direct supplier is vertically integrated, they should comply at least, with the good manufacturing practices described in “Good Manufacturing Practices for INDITEX Direct Suppliers and Their 
Sub-Suppliers” as well as in “Good Manufacturing Practices for Wet Processing Mills”. Additionally, compliance 
with best practices described in both chapters is highly recommended.
