Sustainable Manufacturing Code Implementation and Evaluation

INDITEX direct suppliers and sub-suppliers as well as the mills included into the scope of this manufacturing code will be audited at least once per year in order to evaluate the implementation of the good manufacturing practices included in this document.

Audits will be conducted by internal teams or outsourced to nominated service providers and depending on their results, different situations may happen:

•    Positive audit result: It means that the facility has implemented all good manufacturing practices applicable to its activity. The mill will be periodically subjected to “Follow-Up Audits” in order to check that compliance of all good manufacturing practices continues in time.

•    Negative audit result: It means that the facility has failed to implement at least, one of the good manufacturing practices applicable to its activity. The auditor will provide to the facility a corrective action plan that should be implemented over an agreed period of time. Afterwards, a second audit may happen and in the case of a positive result will be followed by the previously described procedure of regular visits or “Follow-Up Audits”. Conversely, if the result of the audit is negative, further actions will be taken by INDITEX.
